Dr. Britt received an undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmaceutical Studies from the University of Kansas School of Pharmacy. He earned his Master of Science degree in Clinical Research with honors from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, where he researched antimicrobial pharmacodynamics in multidrug-resistant bacterial infections in the lab of Dr. Molly Steed. He earned his Doctorate of Pharmacy degree with distinction from the University of Kansas School of Pharmacy and completed a post-graduate Pharmacy Practice Residency and an Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri. He joined the faculty at the University of Kansas School of Pharmacy as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice in August 2017. Dr. Britt also serves as an Assistant Professor at the University of Kansas School of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases and practices as a clinical pharmacist specialist in infectious diseases at the University of Kansas Hospital. He is actively involved in clinical and translational research at the University of Kansas Medical Center and the Dwight D. Eisenhower Veterans Affairs Medical Center (Leavenworth, Kansas), where he holds a joint research appointment. Dr. Britt is a Board-Certified Pharmatherapy Specialist (BCPS) and Board-Certified Infectious Diseases Pharmacist (BCIDP).
OPPORTUNITIES
PharmD Students
We welcome students interested in participating in independent research during fall, spring, and summer semesters. We prefer to accept students through official for-credit elective courses or the research certificate program (PHPR 635 Problems in Pharmacy Practice, PHPR 690/899 Research in Pharmacy Practice). We also accept students interested in participating in independent research as an elective Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) rotation (PHPR 601-610).
